Mâcon-Azé «Jules Richard» 2023
Cave of Azé
The council of caveau
A tribute cuvée to Jules Richard, the first founding president of the Cave d'Azé in 1927
For a plate of shellfish, or Bresse poultry with crayfish. This Mâcon-Azé has the density and minerality for a white wine that has something to offer. A white wine that stands out when you want a Chardonnay that has history.
This wine also goes well with our dishes — you can find it in the restaurant
In case of exhaustion of a vintage, the next one will be offered, unless otherwise indicated in the order.

OUR SELECTION
Chosen by the Maison Mâconnaise des Vins, which has been using its terroir Burgundian expertise to help its selection since 1958
The entire region is brought together here, at the same counter — it is from this overview that the selection is born.
What the House retains, it serves at its table and makes it taste its own. caveau
The good agreement ⌄
Around the glass
Its exotic density is surprising for a wine that is thought to be well known. The mango and pineapple stand out first; the hazelnut and almond follow. Ten degrees and a wide glass, it has the space to show its density.
Agreements
Shell plate — the minerality of the wine enhances the shell
Poultry from Bresse with crayfish — the density rivals the sauce
Creamy Brillat-Savarin — the fat of the cheese matches the roundness of the wine
Occasions
The tribute cuvée from the cellar, to be served with a meal that is worth celebrating
A Medallion from Mâcon, ready to be used when you want to please without making a mistake
The Mâcon of family meals, when you want a white wine that doesn't pretend to be anything else

Vineyard
Vineyards that are on average 50 years old, facing south-east on clay-limestone soils. This age and exposure give this density in the mouth
From the vine to the glass
Traditional vinification, aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for one year. This choice preserves the minerality and freshness of the Chardonnay
